With Election Day right around the corner...candidates for offices in Bay County are working to gain your support. Friday morning, incumbents and their challengers were invited to speak before the Bay County Chamber of Commerce's First Friday event. We have highlights from the candidates in five races.  For Bay County Commission District 3...Republican incumbent Bill Dozier and Republican challenger Charles Mayo Bodiford.

Republican Bill Dozier: "I believe its local governments and governments across the boards its our responsibility not to create jobs but to set the atmosphere for jobs to come here and we do that through cutting through the red tape, through lower taxes, and through less government."

Republican Charles Mayo Bodiford: "I've dedicated 14 years to public service, volunteered for the past 6. code enforcement, planning commission, and as your chairman. I have enjoyed the time I have served each and every one of you. and it's priceless giving back to the county I love and the people I care so much about...so I do have the governmental experience."
