A charity that helps families in need, kicks off its "One Step Closer" campaign. The McDonald's of Bay County and Greater North West Florida started their fundraiser to collect money for the Ronald McDonald house in Pensacola. The Ronald McDonald House assists families during medical emergencies, like the Bibikans. Chris and Leanne's son Kaleb spent eight and a half months in intensive care, requiring an extended stay in Pensacola.
"We didn't know if he was going to make it so to have a parent 3 hours away and one parent there with him would have been hart breaking and unimaginable but of the amazing generosity of every body supporting the Ronald McDonald house we did not have to live that night mare we got to be with both of our children when we needed them the most," says Leanne Bibikan.
A little foot print goes on the wall for every dollar donated to help families like the Bibikans. The family is just one of nearly nine hundred that the Ronald McDonald house helps every year.
