Big Fun at the 43rd Annual Possum Festival

Posted: Updated:

You've seen them sneaking around at night, and their lifeless bodies on the side of the road in broad daylight,  the lowly possum doesn't get much love, except during one weekend each year in Wausau, when it becomes the star of the show.  This year's 43rd annual festival got underway with a pancake breakfast, then a parade, and lots of good time music.  There's a possum king and queen, a possum auction, and possum on the menu. The little critter has made a big impact on the little panhandle town.
