UPDATE: Pedestrian Hit by Car Identified

UPDATE: The victim of a pedestrian hit on Panama City Beach had been identified.

The accident occurred in the area of Reid's Court and U.S. Highway 98 Alternate on August 9th, 2012, the pedestrian victim, Mr. Steven Troy Crim, from Valparaiso, Florida, has been changed from critical condition to stable condition at Bay Medical Center.

The victim's relatives have been notified and are in route to Bay County, Florida.  The vehicle which was involved had occupants from Dora, Alabama; however, their identification will not be disclosed due to juvenile laws.

There does not seem to be any criminal actions involved in this case and there are no criminal charges pending at this time.

The Panama City Beach Police Department is investigating a traffic crash involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred in the 15000 block of Front Beach Road, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. 

A 2009 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Front Beach Road when a pedestrian crossed into the vehicle's path, near the entrance to Reed's Court Trailer Park.  The pedestrian was transported to Bay Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition.

The names of the individuals involved are not being released at this time due to family notifications.
