
With the recent landing of NASA's third rover, Curiosity, Mars enthusiast like Jennifer Petro, Education Director of the Science and Discovery Center of Northwest Florida are excited. Petro says the landing of the Curiosity rover was the first controlled descent attempted by NASA and because of the delay of radio frequency information between Earth and Mars it took approximately fourteen minutes before NASA officials could confirm Curiosity had landed.
