On 08/09/2012 narcotics investigators with the Gulf County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Hwy 22 for a traffic violation. The owner of the vehicle Shirley Ann Lucas w/f 61 gave them permission to search the vehicle.
During the search they found two packages of pseudoephedrine, a Methadone prescription for 120 pills that had been filled the previous day only 18 were left in the bottle. They also found a note book with what appeared to be documentation of pill sales and a shopping list for the ingredients used to cook methamphetamine.
Lucas was charged with possession of methadone with intent to sale, possession of listed chemical to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia.
