Two Charged with Car Burglaries in Mexico Beach

Posted: Updated:

The Bay County Sheriff's Office arrested two suspects early this morning after a rash of car burglaries in the Mexico Beach area sparked an investigation by BCSO Criminal Investigations.

Over the past several weeks the BCSO received nearly a dozen complaints of car burglaries involving unlocked vehicles and the theft of firearms, GPS systems, computers and other electronics. During the course of the investigation two suspects were developed. Last night investigators made contact with Samantha Valladares, DOB 1/4/93, and Ryan Fink, DOB 11/20/90. Fink was living with Valladares at 1024 N. 15th Street in Mexico Beach. A search of Fink's room turned up stolen laptops, 5 GPS systems, a Sirius satellite radio, and other electronics reported stolen as well as drug paraphernalia.

Fink was arrested and charged with four counts of Burglary of a Conveyance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Armed Burglary; Valladares was charged with four counts of Principle to Burglary of a Conveyance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Principle to Armed Burglary.

BCSO investigators contacted the Gulf County Sheriff's Office early this morning after information was developed that indicated the two suspects may also be responsible for numerous car burglaries in Gulf County. Gulf County investigators responded to speak with Valladares and Fink. Additional charges and arrests are expected.
