Majka Taking Job as City Manager in Cocoa Beach - WMBB News 13 - The Panhandle's News Leader
Bay County Assistant County Manager Bob Majka is taking a job in South Florida.
Majka, who started as a firefighter with Bay County in 1989, was hired Monday as the new City Manager of Cocoa Beach.
Majka also served as the director of the County's hazmat program, as Emergency Management director and has been assistant county manager since 20-06.
Cocoa Beach officials want Majka to be on the job no later than October 15th. Majka and the City of Cocoa Beach have not started contract negotiations as of yet.
