USA Today recently ranked Shell Island as one of America's 20 amazing beaches. The atmosphere and chance of seeing dolphins keeps visitors coming to Shell Island again and again. Most people take the shuttle from St. Andrews state park to make their way to this amazing barrier island to enjoy activities from snorkeling to kayaking. Rick Argo, Assistant Park Manager said he and the staff at St. Andrews State Park have always known that Shell Island is one of the most beautiful beaches and it's special to get the recognition.
