Thomas Drive to be Closed After Water Main Break

A break on a single one-inch metered water service caused damage to one of the westbound lanes of Thomas Drive between Tarpon Street and Joan Avenue.

Panama City Beach Utilities has backfilled the damaged portion of the roadway.  Roadway repairs cannot be finished today due to the weather, and traffic will not be allowed on the backfilled material until repairs are completed.

Bay County will close the outside lane of Thomas Drive in the area overnight. Lights, signage and message boards will direct traffic.
