
The Springfield Police were summoned to the Gulf Coast Medical Center Emergency Room on Saturday, Aug. 11. Upon arrival, officers were shown a 4-year-old female with extensive bruising/trauma over a large portion of her body and she was also passing blood.
She had been brought to the ER by a family member and was admitted to the hospital.
An investigation was initiated on Monday, Aug. 13 and officers were able to interview the mother of the child Raven Danielle Robinson, 20. During the interview and post-Miranda admitted to having "disciplined" the child with a foreign object, causing most of her trauma.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and was turned over to the Bay County Jail.
Additional information gathered during the investigation has led investigators to seek an arrest warrant for Raymond Antonio King, 30, believed to be from Mississippi on a charge of aggravated battery. He too "disciplined" the child with a piece of wood however, there is no known custodial of family relationship between him and the child. His current whereabouts are unknown.
The child was released from the hospital on Aug. 13 and is being sheltered by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
