Muscular Dystrophy Association's Annual Boot Drive

With the Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual MDA Labor Day Telethon just a few weeks away, some local firefighters took off their boots, and hit the pavement to help raise money for the cause.  It's the annual MDA Boot Drive, featuring personnel from the Panama City Beach Fire Department.  There was no fire but they battled the heat at Pier Park, and asked for donations.  Many people gave as they drove by, and some took the time to teach their kids the importance of helping the community.  "I think that enjoy seeing us out here we try to let them its not particular about the beach fire department but it is for the MDA and hopefully they except that and empty their pockets witch they always do.  Last year's Boot Drive raised more than 22-hundred-dollars for MDA and firefighter smith says the goal is to collect at least that amount this time around.
