In baseball news former Port St. Joe baseball player Roman Quinn finished his first season in Class 1-A baseball in record fashion.
Quinn playing his first year of professional baseball with the Phillies farm team the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York-Penn League.
In 66 games, Quinn has a .281 batting average with a .370 on-base percentage and a .408 slugging percentage.
Quinn also scored 56 runs and stole 30 bases in 36 attempts, had 11 triples a team record, nine doubles, one home run and walked 28 times.
Roman also learned how to switch hit successfully in his first year as a pro hitting .256 as a lefty and hit .347 as a right-hander.
