The case against Stephen Cozzie continues with his attorney asking Judge Kelvin Wells for a continuance.
Cozzie is charged with killing a Georgia teen while she was vacationing in southern Walton County.
According to WZEP Radio, Assistant State Attorney Bobby Elmore says Cozzie's attorney moved for a continuance.
The request is to delay the case for at least a year to allow the defense more time to prepare. Wells set a hearing to consider the request on November 2nd.
Elmore says the state will object to the continuance.
