After last week, just one undefeated team remains in our area, as the Holmes County Blue Devils came out on top during the battle of the unbeaten's with the Bozeman Bucks. The bucks now 3-1 on the year, and return back to the Sandhills Friday night for Homecoming as they face the Baker Gators.
But Baker will be no easy Homecoming win for Bozeman, as the squad is also 3-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming from none other then Holmes County. Bucks Head Coach Loren Tillman said his team regrouped after last week's loss, and has worked very hard to correct their mistakes. He said his squad has done a great job prepping this week, even with all the excitement of it being Homecoming.
"The kids have done a good job of making football a priority, and not letting all the other stuff going on be a distraction to them and making sure we get our game plan in," said Coach Tillman before practice on Thursday. "Baker's coming in with a big offensive line, a big power team. It's a good challenge, they're 3-1 too. The only team they've lost to is Holmes County, so it's not like it's a soft Homecoming. We definitely have a good football team coming in here Friday night."
Kick-off for the Bucks Homecoming game is set for 7/CT.
