The Panama City Beach Police Department is still investigating a robbery of the PNC bank of Grand Panama in Panama City Beach.
Just before 6:00p.m., Panama City Beach Police Chief Drew Whitman told News 13 a vehicle matching the robbery suspect's vehicle has been found and they were questioning a person of interest.
Earlier today at approximately 9:55a.m., police responded to a bank robbery at the PNC bank of Grand Panama in Panama City Beach.
Meanwhile, Panama City Beach Police officers were currently on the scene at Walmart off Hutchinson Boulevard responding to a bomb threat. Officers believe there's a possibility the threat could've been a decoy in robbing the PNC bank earlier this morning
"It's a good coincidence it happened at the same time," says Chief Drew Whitman with Panama City Beach Police Department. "We're thinking Walmart was a diversion to the bank."
Police have pictures of the suspect captured from the bank's surveillance. Police say the suspect is a female in her late 30's early 40's. Police also the woman was wearing a blonde wig at the time of the robbery that she then discarded in the parking lot before going westbound on Middle Beach road in a silver four door Honda.
It is unknown how the suspect asked for the money, but Panama City Beach Police says the suspect did not use a weapon.
