The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has arrested an Alford woman on drug charges.
According to a news release, a JCSO K-9 officer and another deputy were traveling east on Gardenview Road when they saw a pickup truck parked on the shoulder and a woman sitting in the driver's seat.
The JCSO said the woman, Kristy Lynn Clements, gave the officers permission to search the vehicle. Afterwards, the officers asked Clements if she had anything in her pockets and she reportedly produced a dozen Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone tablets.
Clements was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and booked into the Jackson County jail.
