Florida Panhandle Pop Warner held their 2nd Annual Pink Game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over $900 was raised last year, and organizers say the kids have a great time helping the cause.
"As a youth organization, as a team, we want to do something to help support the community. It is something that is important to this community," says Todd Harris, who coaches the Lynn Haven Chargers Pee Wee squad. "A lot of people are affected by it. Hopefully the money we raise will go to this community and help other individuals who are affected by breast cancer fight this disease and get cured by it and live long and healthy lives."
Pop Warner will continue raising money next weekend when they host Pop Warner teams from Tallahassee. Games are at Harders Park and are all day, starting at 9am.
