The President and CEO of the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce resigns.
Beth Oltman left the organization after this past weekend's Panama City Beach Seafood and Music Festival. She tells News 13 that the move had been in the works for about a month and she had communicated that to the board members.
Oltman says after being charged with and acquitted of shoplifting she no longer wants to be in the public eye and wants to focus on her family. She has been the head of the Chamber since 2007.

Panama City Beach, Fla. (October 30, 2012) —The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce announced today that Beth Oltman resigned from her position as President & CEO. Beth plans to focus on her family and personal life.
"We wish Beth success in all future endeavors and thank her for her service to the Beach Chamber," said Paul Wohlford, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce. "We are prepared to actively search for the ideal candidate to fill the position so that the Chamber of Commerce may continue to serve Panama City Beach."
The Beach Chamber of Commerce Executive Board of Directors is spearheading the search to fill the presidential position. Until the position is filled, the Executive Board of Directors and the Chamber of Commerce staff will handle daily duties of the office.
