After collecting buckets and bags of candy on Halloween, kids from all over Bay County came out to the 3rd Annual Halloween Candy Buyback at Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry. As kids rolled in to receive cash for their candy, they also showed support for troops over seas by drawing pictures to go along with the candy. Dr. Eric Berry of Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry said he thinks it's a win win for the troops and the kids. "The troops over there they don't get to see their families and if all kinds of kids participate in this they could get little messages and it would probably be really heart warming to them," Girl Scout Member Elise Armstrong said.
Dr. Berry and his colleagues project to collect over 400 hundred pounds of candy for this year's Halloween Candy Buyback.
