The Center of Hope officially opened its doors on Sunday in Panama City. A ministry of the adjacent St. Andrew Baptist Church, the facility houses the St. Andrew Christian Care Center and the St. Andrew Community Medical Center.
The food and clothing ministry of St. Andrew Christian Care Center opened several years ago in a small church-owned house and began serving the needs of the community with both clothes and food. This center is open Monday through Friday each week and provides assistance to as many as 3,000 people each month.
The St. Andrew Community Medical Center began providing services seven years ago and is open five days and two nights each week. The center's mission is to deliver healthcare to economically disadvantaged people of Bay County.
