High school football season is wrapping up and Friday night the teams battled out their last game, but the competition at one game paused to honor our veterans.
Both the Mosley High School 'Sound of the Southland and the Rutherford High School PRIDE bands joined together to pay tribute to the men and women in the armed forces.
The half-time performance featured music selections spanning from the Civil War Era to the most recent patriotic tunes.
Rutherford Band Director Jim Colvin says this is something the two schools wanted to do for the community. "We decided to put this together because we have a very military community, and we wanted to say thank you to all of our veterans in the armed forces for all their service, for all their sacrifices," says Colvin.
