Fall weekends are focused on football, and one Bay County organization put on a tailgate party with a twist.
The event kicked off with a 5-k run, that began at Saint Andrews State Park, nearly 75 runners left the starting line, for the inaugural running of the "Super Fan 5K and Tail Gate Celebration". Sponsored by the Panama City Beach Barracudas Athletic Club. The club's goal is to provide financial assistance to youth football and cheerleading teams.
The race director says it's all for the kids, because many of them could not afford to play organized sports without financial support.
