Salvation Army Receives Can Food From Local School

Posted: Updated:

As you may have heard in some of our earlier stories about the Salvation Army food pantry being low, we would like to report on one local school that wanted to help.

Rising Leaders Academy has only been open this year, and as their name suggest the school is teaching their children to step up and be leaders.

Last Tuesday the kids were challenged to help the salvation armies Food pantry, by bring in can food, so in just three days the school of just 85 children brought in nearly 400 food items.

Not only did the kids bring in the can food but they also had a bake sale, and raise 150 dollars to give to the St. Andrews Turtle Watch.
