Parker Police are investigating a single car crash that left one person dead and another critically injured Friday night.
According to Detective Aaron Wilson, the crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on US Business Highway 98 near Morris Drive. The crash scene covered an area several hundred yards long and caused the highway to be shut down for about seven hours, Wilson said.
Police said the vehicle was southbound on Highway 98 at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, causing the car to strike a guard rail. The car then became airborne and struck a tree before coming to rest in the roadway.
Terry Allan Seiffert, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person, Tasha Todd, was taken to Bay Medical Center with critical injuries. Wilson said Todd, 46, underwent emergency surgery for multiple head and internal injuries.
