A local bail bondsman is charged Thursday on state charges.
According to the Bay County Sheriff's Office, they executed warrants on Jerry Steele, owner of Steele Boys Bailbonds on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The warrants come from the Florida Department of Financial Services and include two felony charges and one misdemeanor.
According to the warrant from the Department of Financial Services, Steele is charged with "Public Order Crime - Unauthorized Person Enforce Bail Bonds, Principal," which is a felony.
He is also charged with "Public Order Crime - Acting as a bail bonds agent without a license," also a felony.
The third charge of "Public Order Crime - Unlawfully furnishing blank bond form supplies," is a misdemeanor.
Steele was booked into the Bay County Jail Thursday afternoon.
