On 11/29/2012 Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to 4092 Edgewood Dr. in reference to a call from DCF investigators who were at the residence on a complaint of child abuse.
Upon officers arrival they observed animals that were emaciated and appeared to have been mistreated. Upon further investigation the officers observed the living condition of the residence and found animal feces and urine covering almost every surface in the residence.
Due to the living conditions in the residence it was determined that a safe environment was not being provided for the children and the two adults were charged with child neglect.
Arrested were Virginia Dale Stone and Karla Denise Stone. Both were charged with cruelty to animals and child neglect.
