The Bay County Health Department is offering another special program to continue its free Diabetes Self Management Education Program during the holiday season. Healthy Holiday Eating for Diabetes will take place from 5:45 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012. The class is free and open to the public. It will be facilitated by Lynn Hudson, a Certified Diabetes Educator. People with diabetes, their caretakers and family members will learn how to navigate their way through the holidays without jeopardizing their health. Tips on healthier, but still delicious, ways of preparing food will be provided. (Class participants will even have an opportunity to sample a few tasty tidbits!)
The class will meet in the auditorium at the Bay County Health Department, 597 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. Please call Lisa Rahn at (850) 872-4455 Ext. 1344 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org to preregister.
