The holiday spirit was alive and well in Millville Friday morning, as the community put on its annual Christmas parade.
A cast of colorful characters made their way from the Millville Waterfront park all the way down to Daffin park. Various agencies participated in the parade, including the Panama City police and fire department.
Marching bands from several area high schools played a few familiar Christmas tunes for the crowd. Meanwhile, it was a candy free for all as tons of treats showered down on the kids.
Participants all say they had a blast, especially Hannah Bourque.
"Today I'm turning 8, and it's really fun being at the parade while it's my birthday," Hannah said
Organizers estimate more than 4,000 parade-goers lined the streets of Millville for the parade.
