Kids were treated to free cookies for decorating, coloring books, and a visit by a colorful guest. Ronald McDonald.
All Johnstone restaurants featured discounted happy meals and a free holiday pie with a purchase.
The local franchise says the holidays, and McDonald's, are about family.
"You know the core of McDonalds when it was begun was about family," said owner Tracy Johnstone. "And ya know we have our internal McDonalds family and this is about them as well, but we are part of this community.
"We are not just here running a business. We want to be interwoven into the fabric of the community and we're about families and today represents something you can do with your family and it's free."
Ronald McDonald started his day at the Thomas drive restaurant and by the time it ended he had visited all of the Johnstone's locations in Bay County.
