A Blountstown man's world is turned upside down this morning, after a tire blew and his cement truck rolled over.
Multiple agencies were on the scene of the accident, where the driver suffered minor shoulder injuries from wearing his seat belt.
Around 8 a.m. a cement truck was turning onto Business 98 from Highway 22 when Springfield Police Chief Phillip Thorne says the condition of the road caused the truck's tire to blow, which ended with the fully loaded cement truck to tip on its side.
With the efforts of three tow trucks, worker were able to get the truck right side up. Traffic was rerouted for over two hours as worked tried to clean the highway.
Meanwhile Chief Thorne says the condition of the highway will be put into the report as a contributing factor of the accident.
"It's got a real distinct grade here and we're just amazed that we haven't have more serious accidents because of it," Thorne said.
