Pet Project Assist Bay County Animal Control

Bay County, Fla. -

Bay County employees are stepping up to the plate to fill a void in our community this holiday season.

Friday morning, employees from the Bay County GSI IT department loaded up these trucks with hundreds of donated items. The items will help serve Bay County Animal Control and their mission.

Organizers say they held a drive and collected about 2,200 lbs. of dog and cat food, 260 pet toys and more. All of it was delivered to the shelter Friday. Officials say there was even enough to donate to the Bay county Humane Society.

"They do so much to help the pets and the animals in Bay County and we just thought it might encourage them if we could collect some donations for them. The public generosity has been absolutely overwhelming. I know our entire IT NGIS would just like to thank the public for their extreme generosity." GIS Division Manager Jennifer Morgan says.
