Focusing on your health should be an important goal for the new year.  News 13 wants to help with the Buddy Check 13 program.  On the 13th of each month, you will receive an email reminder or text alert to do your breast self-exam. We'll also remind you on-air.

Doctors recommend monthly self breast exams once a woman reaches her 20s.  The key is to look for changes.  The exams should be done at the same time each month.  We want you to mark your calendar to make the 13th of each month the day you do your exam.

Simply sign-up online or text "buddy" to 21321. That way you'll get an email or text reminder because that self-exam could save your life.
