Caitlin Lawrence joined the News 13 news team as a reporter in January 2013. As a Panama City native, Caitlin grew up watching News 13 with her family and has always dreamed of sharing the news. She found her passion for television news through working behind-the-scenes at News 13 as a Production Assistant while attending A. Crawford Mosley High School and Gulf Coast Community College.
Caitlin transferred to the University of Florida and graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2012 with a degree in Telecommunication. In Gainesville, she reported and anchored for WUFT-TV, the PBS affiliate and reported and produced for WUFT-FM, the NPR affiliate. The Florida Associated Press Broadcasters College Contest has recognized her for her work in radio. Caitlin also worked as an Associate Producer at WCJB-TV 20 on the weekends, where she helped produce and write the evening newscasts.
Caitlin is thrilled to be back home at the "World's Most Beautiful Beaches" and is looking forward to meeting new people and sharing the community's stories. If you would like to share a story idea, news tip or just say hello, you can email Caitlin at firstname.lastname@example.org!
