The Bay High beautification committee went before the Panama City Board of commissioner Tuesday. The purpose was to ask permission to hang decorative banners outside the school alongside Harrison avenue.
The intent is to allow for future banners to be installed and highlight future events such as homecoming and graduation. Jane Perry, a member of the committee, says all banners and suspension hardware will conform to city and Florida Department of Transportation standards.
Gulf Power has already given their approval to hang the banners outside the school and private funding will stipulate that every banner will have the same design.
