If you have something to mail and it needs to get there on time, there are some new drop off deadlines you need to know about. The U.S. Postal Service has changed the times that mail must be dropped off to meet it's delivery promise.
The Postal Service moved all processing operations from Panama City to Pensacola early last year. A study showed that combining operations nationwide would save more than $2 billion a year.
Beginning Saturday, First Class and Standard mail must be dropped off by 3:00 in the afternoon, and Express and Priority mail must be in by 4:00 to be routed to Pensacola and maintain the 1-3 day delivery deadline.
