Several area agencies received a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Panama City, Tuesday afternoon.
The Downtown Rotary Club presented more than seven thousand dollars to ten communities agencies including, the Bay Education Foundation, Covenant Hospice, Junior Achievement and several others. The meeting was held at the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club.
According to Club Service Chairman Melissa Hagan, giving back is all part of the organization's mission. "We're really excited to be able to do this right here in our own community. These funds are spent for direct service going to these agencies that will make our community a better play to work and play."
The Rotary Club of Panama City gives out about ten thousand dollars a year.
