The Homeless and Hunger Coalition of Northwest Florida conducted its annual point in time count on Thursday night in Panama City. The count helps to prevent homelessness and provide resources for those already homeless. "This is the way that the state and federal level asked us to count and sort of do a census on where we stand with the sheltered and unsheltered homelessness," Morgan Burleson, administrator for The Homeless and Hunger Coalition of Northwest Florida said. Through a partnership with other organizations in the community such as the Rescue Mission and The Salvation Army, the coalition plans to continue interviewing people that need assistance and may be homeless.
