Dr. Michael Reed is now licensed to practice medicine again in the State of Florida.

Friday The Florida Board of Medicine reviewed the terms recommended by the Credential Committee. The Committee met Thursday and moved forwarded with asking for Reed's license to be reinstated under the following terms:

  1. Comply with the professional resource network contract PRN. An impaired practitioners program.
  2. Undergo an evaluation to determine if he demonstrates the ability to practice medicine in a safe and competent manner.
  3. The Board can impose conditions including probation.

Reed's license was suspended following his late 2009 5-year prison sentence on federal cocaine conspiracy charges.  He was released in early January.
