Qualifying Ends, Campaigns Begin

Qualifying may have come and gone at noon, but for many running for office, Friday marks the beginning of their campaign. Eight races will be decided on Municipal Super Tuesday in April.

Initially 14 races were up for grabs, but it seems like only half will come before voters.

Supervisor of Elections Mark Andersen waited around for any additional candidates before noon, but traffic remained slow; their busiest day was on Monday.

The week before the election, April 8-12, 2013 Andersen will offer up his office as an early voting site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
