If you were looking toward St Andrews Bay Tuesday afternoon you might of caught a glimpse of history sailing in. Replicas of the Nina and the Pinta docked at the Panama City Marina.
The ships in which Christopher Columbus sailed the "ocean blue" in will be open to the public starting Wednesday. The Nina was even featured in the movie 1492 about the discovery of America.
Morgan Sanger senior captain for the Nina and the Pinta says these two ships represent the definition of America.
"People wanted freedom they wanted to find new lands where there free to do what ever and that is what is important about these ships it started the age of discovery and the settlement of the new world, Sanger.
