The American Cancer Society says breast cancer deaths have been decreasing since the late 1980s. They attribute part of the decline to early detection.
News 13 wants to help you remember to do your monthly breast self-exams with Buddy Check 13.
On the 13th of each month, you will receive an email reminder or text alert to do your breast self-exam. We'll also remind you on-air.
Doctors recommend monthly self breast exams once a woman reaches her 20s. The exams should be done at the same time each month.
Simply sign-up online or text "Buddy" to 2-1-3-2-1. That way you'll get an email or text reminder because that self-exam could save your life.
