Happy couples looking to tie the knot rushed to the Bay County Courthouse this Valentine's Day. For some this was their first happily ever after, while others say their road took a detour to true love.
Doug and Lisa Sanders got married on Valentine's Day for a second time. During their first marriage they ran into problems and split for a while, but after being apart for what felt like forever, they worked things out and ended right back where they started.
With a glimmer in their eyes, these two held hands in a private courthouse chapel to promise to love again. We sat down with Doug and Lisa following their ceremony and you could tell, they've never been more in love, than today.
"He's the person I want to be with. He's my partner. If something goes wrong, if something goes right, he's the person I want to talk to about it and he's the one I want to spend my life with," Lisa Karen said.
"This completes everything for me. Since I was 15 years old, this is where I wanted to be," Doug Sanders said.
We asked the two why they chose Valentine's Day to marry, Lisa said it's because there couldn't be a more romantic day, while Doug wanted it to be an easy day to remember.
