Ervin Selected as New PCPD Chief - WMBB News 13 - The Panhandle's News Leader

Scott Ervin has been named the new Police Chief of the Panama City Police Department.

Panama City Manager Ken Hammons made the announcement at an afternoon press conference.

Ervin was selected over Michael Deleo for the position. The two final candidates were interviewed by Hammons this week.

Ervin has served as Acting Chief of the department since the retirement of John Van Etten last year. Deleo is the Deputy Chief of the Plantation, Florida, Police Department.
