Do you love bird-watching or do you just have a general curiosity about this fast-growing hobby? If so, please join us for Backyard Birding, one of the upcoming Citizen Science lectures.
A member for 38 years and current president of the Bay County Audubon Society, Ron Hauser will be talking about birding in Northwest Florida as well as offer suggestions on how to participate in this hobby. He is also a founding member of Bay County Conservancy, a member of the Native Plant Society with an interest in birding, native plants and photography. In addition, Ron is coordinating the local Florida Water Land Legacy Campaign to try to restore funding for the Florida Forever program through a citizens' ballot initiative.
The birding lecture will be on Tuesday, February 26, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., in the Student Union East Gibson Lecture Hall on the Gulf Coast State College Panama City Campus. This event is free and open to the general public. No registration is required.
