Shelters Open in Washington, Walton Counties

Shelter Opening in Washington County

Red Cross in coordination with Washington County Emergency Management will be opening a shelter for those seeking refuge from rising waters.  The shelter located at Ebro City Hall, 6620 Dog Track Road will open at 9am on Tuesday morning.  Residents who decide to take advantage of the shelter should bring the following items with them:

  1. Identification
  2. Important Medications
  3. Diapers, infant formula, baby foods if needed
  4. Bedding, pillows, blankets, etc.
  5. Puzzles, books, small games for children
  6. Special foods for restricted diets

Gulf and Holmes counties are on standby and monitoring the developing situation.  Emergency Managers and Red Cross officials will re-evaluate tomorrow morning.

Residents are advised to heed warnings from local government officials!  Stay tuned to media for future announcements regarding shelter openings and relief operations.

Shelter Opening in Walton County

A shelter will be open at 3:00 PM on February 26, 2013 for evacuees at the Bruce United Methodist Church located at 269 Church Road in Bruce, FL.
