WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) today announced that it has appointed Janet B. Kreizman Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2013.

Since 2009, Kreizman has served as Deputy Executive Director & Chief Policy Officer of The Endocrine Society, providing executive management for health and science policy advocacy, strategic communications, patient education, marketing, membership and governance initiatives for the $30 million organization representing more than 16,000 scientists and clinicians.

AACC President Robert H. Kreizman has 26 years of experience in non-profit and for-profit organizations. Since Kreizman joined The Endocrine Society in 2004, she served as Director, Government & Public Affairs and Senior Director, Government & Public Affairs, before being appointed Deputy Executive Director & Chief Policy Officer in 2009. Prior to The Endocrine Society, Kreizman served as Director, Government & Public Affairs at the American Medical Directors Association and Executive Director, Alliance for Consumer Education and Executive Director, Household & Institutional Products Info. Council at the Consumer Specialty Products Association.  

Kreizman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology & English from Clark University and is a member of the American Association of Medical Society Executives, the American Society of Association Executives, and the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives.
