
Local Red Cross leadership, in coordination with Emergency Managers in Gulf and Washington Counties, announced today the following information regarding shelter openings.
Red Cross in coordination with Gulf County Emergency Management will be opening a shelter for those seeking refuge from rising waters. The shelter located at Honeyville Community Center, on Hwy 71 just south of Wewahitchka will open today at 11:00am CST. Residents who decide to take advantage of the shelter should bring the following items with them:
Washington County shelter at Ebro City Hall closed at 9:00am this morning.
Residents are advised to heed warnings from local government officials! Stay tuned to media for future announcements regarding shelter openings and relief operations. If you are in immediate danger call 911. Please report flood damage to your local Emergency Management office.
