Two More Charged in Springfield Shooting; Charges Dropped on One Suspect

Two more people are arrested in connection with the shooting in Springfield Friday night and murder charges against one person are dropped.

Damon Manzell Washington is now charged with murder and armed robbery. According to the arrest affidavit from the Bay County Sheriff's Office, Washington made a phone call to Christopher Purswell directing him to a location on Everitt Avenue. There Purswell and Branden Junlakan met Katari Jackson and they drove to an area at 8th Street and Helen Avenue.

The report says Purswell and Junlakan were shot when they attempted to complete the drug deal. Pursewell was killed. Junlakan went to the hospital and has since been released.

Tykeyah Castleberry is now charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder. Deputies say that she was questioned after the homicide and told them her boyfriend Jackson was with her during the time in question. Deputies charged her with knowingly making a false sworn statement in an attempt to mislead investigators and conceal evidence.

Law enforcement officers are searching for Antwoine Givens in connection with the case. Givens is wanted on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Katari Jackson and Marquez Robinson were arrested on Sunday for the murder. Jerry Morris was also originally charged. Charges against him are now dropped.
