
A Kentucky teenager has been charged in connection to a Saturday night hit and run incident involving a pedestrian in Panama City Beach.
According to beach police, Amber Gahm of Louisville, Kentucky struck the pedestrian on Front Beach Road just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, then fled the scene in her 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer. It happened east of Richard Jackson Boulevard, in front of the Casa Blanca Motel.
Gahm, 19, was located a few minutes later at the Knight's Inn, police said.
The pedestrian was identified as Thomas Hilpert of Madison, Alabama. Hilpert, 22, suffered a head injury and was taken to Bay Medical Center where he was treated and released.
